Rasta Empress is a woman of spirituality and royalty. She is a symbol of love, creation, the first man and woman, Ethiopia and much more. Most would consider a true Rasta Empress to be a role model to their community. Dreadlocks are a key symbol of Rastafari culture and upholds the Empress as one of the few symbolic figures within the social movement. Many Rastafari women take special care to cover their locks. However, there are exceptions for social events at their choosing. Rasta, Rastafari, also known as Rastafarian, is a spiritual way of life that developed in Jamaica during the 1930s. Scholars of the Rastafarian culture and related fields have classified it as both a new spiritual movement and a social movement.
